The Audit and Advisory Services biennial risk perception survey went out to approximately 450 campus leaders on October 22, 2012. The survey is the launch pad for the annual risk assessment and audit planning procedures. It covers thirteen areas related to the core mission of UC Berkeley:  teaching, research, and public service.

The survey asks respondents how well they perceive the Berkeley campus has effectively managed key activities, processes, issues and risks in the following areas:

  • Educating Students
  • Developing Funding Sources
  • Managing Enrollment and Financial Aid
  • Delivering Quality Student Services
  • Maintaining Quality and Compliant Athletic Programs
  • Managing Construction, Facilities, and Workplace/Public Safety
  • Utilizing Information Technology
  • Hiring, Deploying, and Developing Human Resources
  • Managing Financial Operations
  • Managing Legal and Compliance Matters
  • Managing Sponsored Research/Projects
  • Managing External Relationships
  • Planning Strategically for the Future

Your viewpoint is a critical element to help Audit and Advisory Services develop an enterprise-wide perception of current risks and issues. If you received an invitation to complete the survey, please do so by November 2, 2012. We will treat all answers provided confidentially and will not attribute any written comments to an individual when the summary results are shared with campus leadership. Others who would like to provide input for the risk assessment process may do so by sending their feedback to audit@berkeley.edu.
