Audit and Advisory Services is pleased to announce that new sessions for the "Bridging the Gap" information sharing series are now available for registration.  "Bridging the Gap" sessions bring together faculty and staff with University thought leadership to discuss emerging and hot button issues, to foster an open exchange, as well as to inform decision-makers.  The dates, topics, and scheduled presenters for the upcoming sessions are as follows:

  • "Institutional Data as an Organizational Asset – Understanding the University Through Cal Answers" with Pamela Brown and Russ Acker (Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 10:30am-12:00pm)
  • "Operational Excellence: What We Have Accomplished and What is Ahead" with Peggy Huston (Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 3:00-4:30pm)
  • "Berkeley Staff Opportunities and Career Paths" with Jeannine Raymond, Bruce Mattos, and Liz Elliott (Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 3:00-4:30pm)

All information sessions will be held in 150 University Hall. Space is limited to 60 participants so please register using of the Blu portal.

To sign up:

  • Go to the Blu portal (http://blu.berkeley.edu)
  • Click on the link for the UC Learning Center in the "Self Service" section on the left side
  • Enter "bridging" in the search field in the upper left corner of the UC Learning Center to view sessions currently open for registration (Note:  All sessions will start with 2013 Bridging the Gap followed by session title)
  • Highlight the session you would like to attend and click "Register" to initiate the registration process

Please note that these information sessions are open to all faculty and staff.  Managers and supervisors are encouraged to share information regarding this program with staff that do not have access to computers or email. Flyers regarding the program are available for printing on our website.
